ATHENS, Ga.  —  The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs are set to take the field on Saturday to face Kent State in the third non-conference game of the year. Here's the rundown on what to expect in the conference matchup.

SEC Network+ is a complimentary digital platform providing hundreds of additional digital-only events to fans through the ESPN App on connected devices. SEC Network+ is not a television channel. It is accessible with your TV provider credentials and is available via the ESPN app on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices, or  espn.com/watch. For those with a Smart TV or one of the devices listed  here  you can download the ESPN app and it will ask you to log in with your TV provider credentials. You may also be able to cast it to your Smart TV from your laptop.

For SEC Network authenticated subscribers of AT&T TV, Cox, DIRECTV, DISH Network, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Optimum, Sling TV, Spectrum TV, Suddenlink, Verizon Fios, Xfinity TV, YouTube TV, Vidgo, members of the NCTC, as well as those with access to SEC Network through TV-connected devices, you can watch the game via SEC Network+. If you do not have access to SEC Network, you can access games via a subscription to ESPN+. SEC Network+ is complementary to SEC Network and part of your subscription with your cable, satellite, or streaming provider. For those who have an Xfinity X1 cable box and SEC Network, you can watch it through your cable box - it should show up on your guide, it will just be streaming vs an actual channel.

Georgia went 8-4, with a 4-4 Southeastern Conference record and a 31-23 win over TCU in the Liberty Bowl.

Kent State went 3-9, with a 2-6 Mid-American Conference record.

Georgia went 13-2, with a 7-1 Southeastern Conference record, a 28-7 win over Auburn in the SEC Championship, a 54-48 win over Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinal, and a 26-23 loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Kent State went 2-10, with a 1-7 Mid-American Conference record.

Georgia went 11-3 with a 7-1 Southeastern Conference record, a 35-28 loss to Alabama in the conference championship, and a 28-21 loss to Texas in the Sugar Bowl.

Kent State went 2-10, with a 1-7 Mid-American Conference record.

Georgia went 12-2 with a 7-2 Southeastern Conference record, a 37-10 loss to LSU in the conference championship, and a 26-14 win over Baylor in the Sugar Bowl.

Kent State went 7-6, with a 5-3 Mid-American Conference record and a 51-41 win over Utah State in the Frisco Bowl.

Georgia went 8-2, with a 24-21 win over Cincinnati in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

Kent State went 3-1 in Mid-American Conference play.

Georgia went 14-1, with an 8-0 Southeastern Conference record, a 41-24 loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship, a 34-11 win over Michigan in the Orange Bowl CFP semifinal, and a 33-18 win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Kent State went 7-7, with a 6-2 Mid-American Conference record, a 41-23 loss to Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship, and a 52-38 loss to Wyoming in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Series history:  Georgia won the first matchup 56-3 in 1998.

Georgia is coming off a 48-7 win over South Carolina and the Golden Flashes are coming off a 63-10 win over Long Island. Georgia is considered a 44-point home favorite over Kent State. Georgia is given a 99.2 percent chance of winning the game by ESPN's FPI.   Georgia won the first matchup between the two schools 56-3 back in 1998. 

“We’re looking forward to getting another home game," Kirby Smart said on Monday. "Our second time to play at home against a quality opponent in Kent State. We did some off-season study on these guys. And they have a really unique offense. And, actually, a really unique defense as well. They do a tremendous job. Sean Lewis has done a great job with these guys in terms of coaching them up and getting these guys to play hard. They've played a really tough schedule in the teams they've played. We’re looking forward to an opportunity to play these guys.”
