The Conditional Access Module (CAM) device supplier SMIT has announced the launch of its latest DVB Common Interface solution.

Known as CI Bridge, it is a CI/CI Plus controller which provides digital TV/set-top box manufactures with a solution of integrating the DVB Common Interface, while simultaneously improving transport stream routing options and reducing BOM cost through an efficient interface to the TV/STB SoC.

Commenting on the development, Bingyu Xiang, general manager of CAM products, SMIT, said: “As a world leading CAM supplier, we have years of experience and resources in this industry. We can not only provide solutions for customers who do not support the PCMCIA interfaces with CI Bridge, but also provide solutions for existing digital TV manufactures in the form of CI USB Adapter. “We are ready to deliver CI Bridge and CI USB Adapter to serve our customers and partners worldwide”.
