Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - Starting April 2022, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) has stopped broadcasting analog TV or Analog Switch Off (ASO) the first phase, in exchange for the public being asked to switch to digital TV broadcasts.Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communication and Information said there would be three stages of stopping analog TV broadcasts, until November 2, 2022.The Ministry of Communication and Information does not require the public to have a digital TV or buy any TV sets to get digital channels.Because channels on analog TV can still get digital TV broadcasts if you use a Digital TV Set Top Box (STB) supporting device.1. Prepare a DVB-T2 STB and analog TV.2. Make sure the STB is DVB-T2 type that supports antenna connection on analog TV.3. Make sure the analog TV is in the power off position.4. Unplug the antenna cable that has been installed on the analog TV.5. Connect the antenna cable to the port which is usually named “ANT IN” and is provided on the back of the STB.6. Connect the HDMI cable from the port on the STB to the analog TV.7. If the analog TV does not support HDMI connection, it can also be connected with an AV cable which usually has three ends of red, yellow, and white connectors.8. Make sure the STB is connected to power.9. Turn on the STB and analog TV.10. Enter analog TV settings menu, select AV display mode.11. After the STB menu appears, select the channel search option.12.
