MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins return to Target Field tonight to start their final homestand of the 2022 regular season, as the club will host the Los Angeles Angels for three games through Sunday – including Fan Appreciation Weekend presented by Caribou Coffee tonight and tomorrow, and Kids Appreciation Day presented by Target on Sunday – before welcoming the Chicago White Sox for three games next Tuesday-Thursday. Tonight’s homestand opener is scheduled to feature the first-ever Minnesota pitching performance by the Angels’ Shohei Ohtani, whose historic two-way excellence resulted in 2021 American League Most Valuable Player honors, opposing Twins rookie, St. Paul native and Concordia University product Louie Varland in his Target Field debut.
