Radioplayer, which offers public and commercial radio stations online, has been added to Sky Q in both the UK and Germany.
In the UK, Radioplayer is offering stations from the commercial and community sectors, as the BBC already has its own BBC Sounds app on the platform. The app is currently found on the home page of the Sky Q receiver; it’s been a part of the integrated Sky Glass TV for several months.
Established between UK commercial radio and the BBC, Radioplayer has extended worldwide, establishing partnerships in Ireland, Norway and Germany.
In Germany, following the Radioplayer launch on Sky’s IPTV Box, the app is now also available on all Sky Q receivers in Germany. It features a selection of over 30 genres and 2,300 German radio stations. The majority of public and private stations from Germany are represented.
Radioplayer also has integrations with car companies like Audi and VW, smart-speaker platforms like Amazon Echo, Sonos, and Bose, and apps for iOS and Android.
