Tata Sky launched its Binge+ set-top box (STB) last year. The Binge+ is a second-generation hybrid DTH STB based on the Google Android TV platform. The Android-based 4K set-top box enables users to watch live TV through DTH and OTT content through the internet. Since it is an Android-supported device, it gives users the benefit to download apps from PlayStore. Now, Tata Sky is giving its Binge+ users a free set-top box (STB) but the offer is applicable to select users. Tata Sky users can get this offer if they are recharging through the mobile app or its website. Users getting a recharge of Rs 6000 for a year will be eligible to get a free Binge+ STB upgrade offer from Tata Sky with an STB.

Tata Sky Binge is also giving a bundled subscription to multiple OTT platforms such as SonyLIV, Disney+ Hotstar, CuriosityStream, Voot Select, ZEE5, EpicON, Voot Kids, Eros Now, HungamaPlay, SunNXT, Docybay, Hungama Play, and ShemarooMe.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, along with a free one-month subscription to Tata Syy Binge, users will also get access to Amazon Prime Video for a month. Tata Sky notes that users should have a stable internet connection that delivers at least 4 Mbps internet speed to make the most of their Binge+ STB.

Separately, Tata Sky Binge+ costs Rs 2,499 for new users while existing Binge+ STB users can get a second Smart Box for Rs 1,999. The STB comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. Users can also expand that memory up to 128 GB using an SD card. The pricing for Binge+, every month, comes out to be Rs 153 for the most basic TV channels and Rs 299 for the OTT apps, once the free subscription period is over, with an additional Rs 129 per month for Amazon Prime, which comes down to Rs 600 a month.
