The government has officially added to the list of certified digital television sets, namely Set Top Boxes (STB) to 10 brands, which was originally only nine brands.The device is used to support digital TV broadcasts.There are four new brands included in the list of certified STBs by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, namely Evercoss STB 1, Nextron NT2000, Evinix H1 and Nextron TR 1000. However, the price of Nextron TR 1000 is not yet available in e-commerce stalls.To succeed in the government's plan to migrate to Digital TV from analog broadcasts, residents need a device called a Set Top Box.The additional tools have their own types so they must comply with the provisions of the Kominfo.This is according to the Kominfo page which reads, "Every Digital TV set and decoder or STB DVBT2 that is traded, manufactured, assembled, imported and or used in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is required to observe technical requirements and be based on permits in accordance with the laws and regulations."The requirements and the certification process for digital television and set top boxes can be found through the e-certification portal of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.The technical requirements for digital TV and STB are regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Number 4 of 2019, which was signed on 28 June 2019.The PP regulates the technical requirements of Telecommunication tools and/or Equipment for the Purpose of Broadcasting Television and Radio Broadcasts.Simultaneously, the government will replace all analog broadcasts to digital broadcasts starting in November 2022.
