Infinix has done a really good job with the X3

Infinix not only sells smartphones and its accessories but has also ventured into the TV market with the X3 series in Kenya. We got our hands on the Infinix X3 and our unit is the 43″. There’s also a 32″ version.

Before we begin, here’s what you get in the box:

Infinix X3 is an LED FULL HD Android TV with its resolution capped at 1080p and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The display is really good with decent viewing angles(178 degrees). You can tweak the colour settings but we found the standard mode works well as the others give a yellow hue.

Overall, I’m impressed with the display quality.

It features HDR 10 support with brightness peaking at 400 nits.

Overall, the colours look punchier with enough contrast for you to enjoy binging shows and movies on Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and Showmax. It’s worth noting you can watch live TV channels like NTV, KTN Home and KBC on Showmax.

Infinix added 4 Dolby Atmos powered stereo speakers(36W) that sound very good too. There’ll be no need to get extra speakers if you don’t want to as the inbuilt ones are sufficient enough to serve your entertainment needs like streaming music on Spotify or YouTube Music.

Infinix X3 comes with Android 11 with the Google Play Store so you can download other apps. You have access to Google Assistant via the remote and inbuilt Chromecast. The Tv has 8GB of onboard storage, and 1GB RAM and is powered by Realtek RTD2841 chipset and G31x2 GPU

For ports, you are getting three HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, an ethernet port(it has dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 support ), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and antenna ports for DVB-T2 and Satelite, AV ports, digital audio out port, and MiniYPbPr video output port.

In terms of connections, you are sorted with the Infinix X3 Smart TV.

If Infinix keeps the cost as speculated, then the X3’s price-performance ratio hits the right spot and you’ll be getting bang for your buck especially if you are planning to upgrade your TV or you are just looking around for a Smart TV fit for your living room without breaking the bank.
