In this article, I’ll show how to install DistroTV on FireStick. DistroTV is a popular free IPTV service. This guide is valid for all Fire TV devices, like FireStick Lite, Fire TV Cube, and FireStick 4K and 4K Max.

DistroTV is a world of completely free TV! This service is one of the largest free video streaming services worldwide. You don’t need any kind of account to start streaming. But keep in mind that as a free service, DistroTV supports itself by showing ads.

DistroTV lets you watch over 150 live TV channels in a variety of languages. Also, its on-demand section lets you watch content related to sports, tech, entertainment, movies, lifestyle, music, and much more!

You can access DistroTV on platforms like Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Google TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV, LG TV, Sony TV, Android, and iOS.

Unfortunately, DistroTV isn’t available worldwide. Currently, you can only access it in the US, UK, and Canada. However, you can use ExpressVPN to get past the geo-restrictions of the service. More on that later.

Follow these steps to install DistroTV on FireStick from the official Amazon App Store.

1. On your FireStick home screen, c lick on the Find button.

2. Click on the Search function.

3. Start typing in DistroTV and select the suggestion DistroTV from the list.

4. Select DistroTV in the search results.

5. Click the Get or Download button to download the app.

6. Wait for a few seconds until the Ready to launch notification appears in the bottom-right corner .

Unable to find DistroTV in your Amazon FireStick search results? I f your account’s region isn’t set to the US, UK, or Canada, you won’t find DistroTV in the app store.

However, you can fix the issue by simply changing the region of your Amazon account to the US, UK, or Canada. After that, you’ll be able to see DistroTV in the app store.  

There’s a second way to install DistroTV on your FireStick, called sideloading. Sideloading refers to the process of manually downloading and installing an APK file from a third-party website.

This process isn’t as straightforward as installing the official version of the app. I’ve split the section into two parts.

First, you’ll have to prepare your device to sideload the DistroTV APK.

First, we’ll install Downloader from the Amazon App Store, which will let us download and install the APK file for DistroTV. After that, we’ll have to enable Downloader to sideload files by turning on the unknown sources FireStick setting.

After setting up Downloader on your FireStick, follow the steps in the next part.

Are you done preparing your FireStick? Here’s how to sideload DistroTV:

1. Press and hold the home button on your FireStick remote until a menu appears. Then, select the Apps tile.

2. Select Downloader to open it.

Note: Are you unable to find Downloader among Your Apps & Channels? It’ll be within the App Library.

3. If it’s the first time you’re launching Downloader, click Allow when it requests permissions. On the home screen of the app, s elect the input box near the center.

4. Enter https://bit.ly/39RyRwZ exactly as I’ve written it, then click Go.

5. Wait for a few seconds to let the Downloader app connect to the website. Once the website is done loading, scroll down and click on the Download APK button.

6. Close the popup ad by clicking the X or Close button.

7. Wait for the download to start, then wait for the APK file to download on your Downloader app. 

8. After the download, click INSTALL. 

9. After the installation, click DONE.

10. Once the APK file has been used to install the app on your FireStick, there’s no use for the APK. So, it’s better to remove it. Click on the Delete button.

11. Lastly, click Delete once again to confirm.

DistroTV is limited to the US, the UK, and Canada. So, how can you use DistroTV outside of those locations? With the help of ExpressVPN.

Once you get ExpressVPN on your FireStick, you can connect it to any server in the US, UK, or Canada. After that, open DistroTV and you’ll be able to stream without problems.

Let’s start by opening the app.

Press and hold your FireStick remote’s home button until the menu appears. Select Apps.

Note: Search the App Library folder if you aren’t able to find the DistroTV app on the Your Apps & Channels screen.

Are you living outside the regions eligible to stream DistroTV? If so, you’ll encounter the following error, and no content will load on your DistroTV app.

Remember that you can use ExpressVPN to connect to an eligible region. Then, you should have no trouble using DistroTV.

Once DistroTV loads properly, you’ll land on the Live tab.

To play a channel, feel free to select it from the featured section. For instance, I’m selecting Hard Reboot.

The channel will start playing. You can press the back button on your FireStick remote to return to the main screen.

To access on-demand content, scroll all the way up on the home screen and click on OnDemand.

Have something specific you’d like to watch? You can easily search for it on DistroTV. Scroll all the way up on the home screen and click on the magnifying glass button.

Enter your search term in the input box and  click on the Next button to see the search results.
